Shropshire Studios was appointed to deliver the interior design for The Winery, a new wine bar in the heart of Leighton Buzzard. The project involved transforming a back‑to‑brick commercial unit into an intimate, character‑driven hospitality venue designed to stand out on a busy high street.
The aim was to introduce a splash of luxury to Leighton Buzzard — creating a warm, atmospheric space that feels both inviting and distinctive, while supporting efficient operation within a compact footprint.

The client required a design that would balance rustic charm with modern sophistication, delivering a wine bar that felt intimate, refined and full of character. The space needed to attract footfall from the high street, encourage dwell time and operate efficiently despite its modest size.

DESIGN FOCUS
The interior design centres on deep, moody tones balanced with warm lighting to create an inviting, cocooning atmosphere. The palette was carefully chosen to draw customers in from the busy high street while setting a relaxed, premium tone once inside.
Textural finishes, layered lighting and carefully considered focal points ensure the space feels rich and characterful rather than compact.
