Shropshire Studios was appointed to reimagine the washroom facilities within a commercial office headquarters in Solihull. The project elevates a traditionally overlooked space into a refined, design‑led environment that balances luxury, functionality and user wellbeing.
The proposal demonstrates how considered design can transform everyday workplace facilities into spaces that enhance experience, reinforce brand quality and support comfort throughout the working day.

The brief was to create premium washroom environments that reflect the quality of the wider headquarters while remaining highly practical, durable and easy to maintain.

THE BRIEF
DESIGN CONCEPT
The design repositions the washroom as a considered part of the workplace journey rather than a purely functional necessity. A neutral, layered palette creates a sense of calm and sophistication, while subtle biophilic elements introduce softness and warmth.
Full‑height mirrored walls enhance the sense of space and light, while carefully positioned lighting delivers a flattering, comfortable environment suitable for high‑traffic daily use.
The scheme prioritises longevity, comfort and visual quality. Materials and fittings were selected for durability and ease of maintenance, ensuring the design performs as well as it looks over time.
By treating the washrooms as an integral part of the workplace experience, the proposal reinforces the client’s commitment to quality, care and attention to detail.
